Road to the Horse - Part II
How interesting everything! To watch Clinton, Pat and Chris doing all their natural
horsemanship on their horses!
Here is Clinton bridling his colt

Road to the Horse
Road to the horse is a world championship in colt starting (they don't say colt breaking any more) that takes place every year in Mufreesboro, Tennessee. My favorite Clinician, Clinton Anderson has won it two times in the row in 2003 and 2005 (at that time RTTH took place every second year).
This year's competitors are Pat Parelli, Clinton Anderson and Chris Cox, all natural horsemanship guys from America.
They took a poll at the entrance and 8.3% root for Pat Parelli, 12.7% root for Chris and a whooping 79% cheer Clinton Anderson on! I tell you, he will be the winner, hands down!
Eachh of the contestants get one 2 year old untouched colt. They only received so much handling in getting a halter on for being gelded. After just working for 3 hours (1 hour today, 2 hours tomorrow) each Clinician needs to be able to ride the colt through an obstacle course and has 2 minutes of freestyle to demonstrate what else their mount is capable of.
In 2005 Clinton won in standing on his horse without holding it's reins, shoot a gun, crack a whip and hold a running leaf blower over the colt's head! The horse just stood there. Of course, Clinton won!
He's just amazing!
Anyway, so yesterday this years' Road to the Horse started and every clinician had like 10 minutes to wow the crowds with a little demonstration.
Here is a video of Pat Parelli's freestyle (liberty as he calls it)
I am not a Pat Parelli's fan in particular but this was just AMAZING!

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day was Monday. Since Chris does not work, we could all join Olivia's Valentine's Party at her Kindergarten.
The kids made bookmarks, played Bingo, and ate cookies. Then Chris was asked by the teacher Mrs. Pries to read a Valentin's Story to the kids.
Then the children could go out onto the playground and play before Arts class. Jonah, Papa and I then went home just to get Dudu an hour later from school.

Master Bedroom Makeover
We thought to put the house on the market and move down south to be closer with family. And Chris is looking for a new job down there, too. So we had a stager lady coming into our house and telling us what we can improve so that the house shows its best. Needless to say that Chris has not found a new job yet and we might stay here!
Anyway, I did start painting the master bedroom in a beige color to get rid of the white walls. I wanted to paint anyway, so this suggestion of this lady was kind of unnessessary.

Hairdresser appointment!
This is how I got back from the salon: Somehow I NEVER feel pretty after a new hair do at the shop, it always requires my own styling and a few days to pass. Anybody else with the same feeling?
Here a picture of ME. Feeling like ME. Being ME. So much better! Who has the time anyway to straighten the hair for 15 minutes each morning?
Es ist KALT draussen!!
Die Temperaturangaben sind in Celsius.

Stuff
Jonah loves to play dress-up with his sister.
But somehow he knows that it is not really right for a boy to dress up like a princess, therefore he's trying to hide...
But sister got him anyway...
And from the back he's Superman...weird kid! LOL
And here the utmost picture that says it all:
I only wanted to go around the block with the dogs and kids, Jonah was the one shouting: Let's go to Paul Derda! (The Rec Center we have not too far away and it is a nice longer round for the dogs to walk). So, EVERYBODY could enjoy my girly boy...
No School
Due to the COLD weather, there's no school today for Olivia. Now at 8:45 a.m. we have -22 degree Celsius outside or-8 degrees Fahrenheit. And with the wind chill it even feels colder.
I just wonder about the horses in the barn, I hope their water does not freeze...
