Then there was a heatwave for one day (Friday) when I drove my Mom the second time to the airport:

Good-bye, Black n' White!

Rest in peace, little fella, we love you and you will never be forgotten! Thank you for 13 years of unconditional love!

Zugfahrt in Georgetown

Walden Ponds

We went on a hike/walk around some ponds at Walden Pond habitat, that's about Arapahoe and 75th in Boulder.

It started out nice and easy...we took the stroller with us since Jonah was wake since 5:30 in the morning and before we need to carry him, I decided to take the (foldable) stroller with us...just in case...

explanation of what mountains we see

wooden bridges lead us through some swamp land

then the way narrows a little
..and a little more... ...some picnic on the way....

tree trunks in the middle of the now very narrow way...my Mom trying to work her way through branches, with the stroller all folded up!
uh-oh...I think Iknow how Olivia will look like when she's a teenager

Family shot with O-i
The hike was a fun experience that day! Nothing is easy here! LOL

Hiking at Settler's Park

We visited Settler's Park and its red rocks on a beautiful morning. The park is just outside Boulder and the scenery is just breathtaking.

This is the first red rock you meet and you think this is it...then you just keep on climbing (yes, climbing, not really walking)

..and find THIS!

A guy that was there took a family shot...well, without feet and without the top of the mountain! If you just don't do anything by yourself...LOL

You can see the hike up Mt Sanitas:

After we got back to the car we decided to drive up some more of Canyon Blvd and ended up at Boulder Creek that we explored a bit, too:
