We have a new dog - may we introduce you to Peanut!

After coming back from Germany Chris somehow showed interest in French Bulldogs. Since he turned 40 that week, i agreed 'just to look at' some Frenchies in Longmont. Of course we ended up with one!

This is Peanut, the chosen boy at 8 weeks old on the day

We hope he keeps his blue eyes

sorry....

Life is really busy these days so I never make it to the PC upstairs to update my blog with pictures and such. Chris' Grandma (Mom of Mom) died on March 12 with being 102 years and 9 months old, and was buried just before I left for Germany. Two weeks after I was back from Germany Chris' other Grandma (Mom of his Dad) died, too, at the age of 97. So it is just an exhausting last couple of weeks. But I took some pictures of the funeral since it is so different from a German one, but I will post this later.

I finally, after YEARS, got all pictures from Olivia's camera onto my PC and most of the pictures are blurry but there are a few cute and hilarious in between that I want to share with you for now:

The pictures are 2 years old, around the time Olivia turned 5 years old!

Baseball

We signed Jonah up for Baseball and he had his first practice last Thursday. They named their team 'Great White Sharks' (lol) and first started out with catching the ball and running all 4 bases. It is actually pretty hard to catch a ball with the left hand, even if you wear a humongous glove!
But Jonah did do good, followed instructions well of the coach...the rest is what it is ... 4 year old boys trying to throw and catch balls!

Jonah has a ton of fun and feels really important!

Germany!

I was in Germany last week...all by myself and a full week from Saturday to next Sunday. I had a great time visiting my family and friends that I have not seen in 4 years!

There's so much to tell and show you US folks how beautiful and different Germany is...but my first and most important reason to go was to visit my 99 year old Grandma, who's 100th birthday will come up this summer. But since every single day could be the last one, I wanted to visit my Grandma now over spring break instead of waiting until summer vacation.

I am very happy and thankful that I did!

Last time it snowed (about 2-3 weeks ago), we got like 2 feet (60 cm) of snow. The snow came predicted on Thursday evening and the news stations said, we will get a LOT of snow....so schools got closed on Friday, Papa worked from home and it still snowed all day long on Friday.
It was such a blizzard that even the biggest mall in Colorado, Park Meadows, closed its doors at 5 pm (instead of 10 pm) to ensure that everybody makes it home safely.
IKEA closed at 5, libraries did not even open that day...it was CRAZY!

our trashcans at the side of the yard coverd in snow...the thing on the right leaning against the Aspen tree is a wheelbarrow (Schubkarre)

Papa shoveling the street free, so that his car does not get stuck from getting out of the garage into the street...we had that once, don't need to have this again...

Of course, on Saturday the sun came out, we had the most beautiful weather and the kids wanted to go sledding. I took my good camera with me and got some nice shots of Jonah.
Olivia was not feeling so well (at this time our 3 week long sickness started) and we were only in the snow for about 40 minutes before heading back home.

But Jonah surely enjoyed the time he had with his sled!

I already shoveled once a path for the dogs in the backyard earlier that day but needed to do it again just in a few couples of hours. So that you have a better idea of how much snow we got, a short video from Tobi and Popcorn playing in the snow...
